Rapp’s cafe was opened in 2008 to the delight of some of Saltburn’s more experienced residents, for they will remember a time when Rapp’s cafe was the place to be.
Created by one of Saltburn’s forefathers Mr Rapp for his daughters following the death of all of his sons during the Great War, Rapp & Sons became Rapp’s Cafe.
One of the many stories told to us was that it was the only place allowed to have the fire burning during the cold winter nights to warm the home-guards throughout World War II.
Today we try to echo the same spirit. We want a place that is relaxed and stylish, offering great food and great service. The place to be!
